Michele Roest
Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary
Davidson Seamount, located 90 miles west of San Simeon, is one
of the largest seamounts in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. Learn
more about this huge volcano and the ancient corals and sea creatures
associated with it. Michele Roest is an outreach
and education specialist for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary
(MBNMS). She is the southern region representative for MBNMS, with
an office in San Simeon. She has a Master’s degree in biology,
specializing in marine mammals.
